Hereford Are In A Lovely Position Said Culverhouse

King's Lynn manager Ian Culverhouse still thinks Hereford will win the Southern Premier League title despite them losing their last two games.

Yesterday King's Lynn defeated Farnborough to lift them to just one point behind the leaders.

“They are in a lovely position aren’t they?” Culverhouse told the Eastern Daily Press.

“They have lost a couple of games in a week but still sit clear and still have two games up their sleeve on us. I have said all along that it’s my opinion they are the best team in this league and nothing that has happened over the last week has or will change my mind.

“They are top of the pile for a reason and one of those reasons is their consistency prior to the last week. They have been winning game after game and it’s created the buffer there has been between them and the rest of the league.

“They have had a little dip, but I expect them to bounce back, and quickly. We had to be patient today against a well-organised team who could play a little bit as well. We began well and got the goal, conceded from our point of view a poor goal, which gave them belief which meant we had to roll our sleeves up and graft hard to win. It was another three points but nothing more than that.”
