Several Resignations From Merthyr Board

An emergency meeting has been called of Merthyr Town's owners following the resignation of four of the club's nine directors.

On Tuesday it was announced vice-chair Anthony Hughes was leaving the board, before another statement confirmed Lee Rossiter, Jamie Mack and Robert Parker had also resigned.

A source close to the club said a number of players were leaving Penydarren Park after being told they wouldn't be paid on time.

One of those who has been told find pastures new is ex-Bull Stuart Fleetwood, who shared his thoughts on Twitter.

The 31-year old striker also said he'd offered to play for free against Chesham on Saturday.

Defender Scott Tancock also tweeted his thoughts, thanking the genuine fans.
