Stourbridge On Saturday - Another Tough Test Said Beadle

Towards the end of his post match interview Peter Beadle was asked about the visit of Stourbridge next Saturday.

"Again another tough test for us which should do us well for going into that first game of the season.

"They've always been strong well known for their Cup runs. I think last year they got to the play-off final.

"Everyone talks about them and so it will be another tough game and one that we need.

"I think some people go down the route of having a tough games and then finish off with an easy game but I think that puts you in a wrong frame of mind.

"We need to keep the tempo up, keep the intensity up.

Mike McGrath (On Crutches), Jamie Molyneux and Rob Purdie
"Obviously we'll have a few more bodies back for Saturday and we'll hope we can get a few of the walking wounded patched up and ready for the start of the season.

"I think Macca we talked about two weeks so we're looking at the week leading up to the start of the season before he's doing anything.

"Purds with his hamstring and him being a little bit older, I think we are talking four to six weeks which is a bit of a shame as he has looked quite bright in pre-season.

"Mark Preece runs like he has got a knock. I can say that because he's not here and get away with it.

"Keyon's got a bit of a knock, bang on his toe. Dinsley only got back from holiday on Saturday afternoon so he's had a week off and he's played eighty minutes tonight, he'll feel that tomorrow.

"Edge has got a knock on his ankle but he's managed to play with it tonight. And Molyneux but he's hoping to do some sort of training this week. Which will be good if he does.

"Then hopefully we've got Green coming back but he's not available for the first game. Horesell is back on Wednesday.

"So hopefully we'll have a few more bodies and can do a proper training session this week rather than with seven or eight people as we did on Saturday."

Asked if Beadle might bring in some reinforcements, he replied "Maybe'.

Beadle also commented on the performance of on loan keeper Ethan Ross which he said was "more confident".
