Benjamin Holds The Record for Longest Transfers

Manager Graham Turner was drenched by Kris Taylor and Trevor Benjamin during the celebrations at Brentford in 2008.

A new study has shown that former Hereford United striker Trevor Benjamin clocked up 23,515 miles moving from one club to another during his long career.

It's more miles than any other British professional footballer has covered.

Benjamin retired in 2012 after playing for some 29 clubs since the age of 15.

He started at Leicester and went on to play for Cambridge, Crystal Palace (loan), Norwich (loan), West Brom (loan), Gillingham (loan), Rushden & Diamonds (loan), Brighton (loan), Northampton, Coventry, Peterborough, Watford (loan), Swindon (loan), Boston United (loan), Walsall (loan), Hereford, Gainsborough, Northwich, Hednesford, Wellingborough, Kidsgrove, Tamworth, Harrogate Town, Woking, Sunshine George Cross in Australia, Bedlington, Wroxham (loan), Morpeth and Seaton Delaval.
