| Steve Jenkins Talking To John Mills Before Kick-Off This Afternoon |
"I thought we were solid," said Jenkins.
"Scored a decent goal as well, great play by Pab and a great run by Mills.
"Overall we restricted them to very, very little and we were comfortable winners on the day.
"I think we restricted them to one shot on goal, a couple of corners, one or two entries into our 18 yard box but apart from that we totally dominated the game."
It was Hereford's first home win since January 28th.
"Obviously two draws in the last couple of games but last week I thought our performance warranted a win but we didn't get it so it was important we got back to winning ways as they games are coming down slowly, nine to go.
"I know it's a cliche but we are taking one game at a time. We've seen today out, now we focus on next week."
Top scorer John Mills felt his hamstring late in the game and had to come off.
"He's got a little twinge on his hamstring. Obviously Jonny will have a look at that and let it settle down for the next 24/48 hours, fingers crossed it's not going to keep him out for too long. But until we access it we can't really tell you what it is."
Supermarine appeared to come with a game plan.
"Pretty much as everybody sets up against us which we thought they would and they got to an hour and, probably pre-planned, they changed it to have a little go.
"We thought they would to make it difficult for us.
"It wasn't a great day for football, the wind, but I thought we got it down and created chances and it was just a matter of time before we got that second goal and killed the game off."
Nine games to go.
"There will come a point, games are running out and hopefully we'll keep winning so we get to that situation when it's mathematically done, that's all we can do.
"Just focus on ourselves, not worry about anybody else and just making sure we are racking up three points in the coming weeks.
"Next week, we'll prepare this week, get everybody patched up, we'll probably have one or two with little niggles especially Millsy's situation, refocus and prepare right and we go again next week."
Back to the second goal, a Haysham Mills combination.
"It was the fact that Pab had chased that ball for sixty yards. It was a nothing ball and he's made something out of it. That's what is about. It's about desire, passion. Making something out of nothing, which he did.
"Great delivery and Millsy did what Millsy does, a great run, a great flick and a superb goal.
"It finished the game off for us at that point."
