News Round-Up

Heanor Town assistant manager Steve Huntington has left his role, telling supporters he is not happy with 'one or two things around the club'. The Lions have lost their last three games, scuppering their promotion push, with manager Glen Clarence hoping Huntington will remain involved with the club.

National South side Gosport Borough have denied they have a financial crisis despite admitting players have not been paid for two weeks. Chairman Mark Hook responded after one of the club's players tweeted that he was a free agent after going unpaid. Hook says the players have agreed a payment plan with finances restricted following a number of postponements. Gosport say the players are the only paid employees of the club.

Welsh Premier side Rhyl have set an aim to become a community club. A working party will conduct a review of the club's finances and debts to determine the funds required to convert the club, with current chairman Paul Higginson describing recent years as 'turbulent'.

Aldershot have denied claims in the Non League Paper that they are in takeover talks with Ashley Read. The club confirmed that they had met with Read, who recently failed with a bid for Woking, but that a takeover was not under discussion.
