News Round-Up

Former Bull Chris Todd has been confirmed as the new Assistant Manager at Eastleigh. The 33 year old played only 10 games this past season and replaces Craig McAllister, who was one of a number of players to be released by manager Richard Hill. Former Bulls loanee Steven Jennings has signed a new deal with Tranmere. The 30 year old has made 288 appearances for the club over three spells.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale says the club's decline is over after a season of turmoil. 12 months ago the club needed a loan from the PFA to cover wages, causing a transfer embargo, and the subsequent rift between the club board and supporters trust saw both the club chairman and Chief Executive leave. The January sale of youngster Matt Grimes for £1.75m to Swansea means the club are on a better footing this summer.

Luton have sacked striker Ricky Miller over an incident in which he was arrested along with teammate Shaun Whalley. Whalley has also left the club 'by mutual consent' with Miller's dismissal subject to an appeals process. Hyde FC have announced they will revert to their previous name of Hyde United after the change was approved by the FA Council. The change will also see them revert to red shirts.

Carlisle planned takeover has been put on hold at the last minute, with the club's current board opening talks with a second investment group. Andrew Lapping, the man leading the original bid, was told of the move only minutes before it was announced publicly with the club's Supporters Trust saying their agreement to dilute their shareholding only applied to Lapping's bid.
