News Round-Up

Bristol Rovers have won promotion back to the Football League after beating Grimsby on penalties in the play-off final at Wembley yesterday. Ex-Bulls Josh Gowling and Danny Leadbitter didn't feature in the game with loan Mariner Gowling injured, and Pirate Leadbitter an unused sub. The Pirates had to issue an apology after a naked picture of striker Matt Taylor with the play-off trophy was posted to Twitter.

Ryan Green says he wants to lead Merthyr Town to the Conference. The defender's father played for the former club in the fifth tier, with Green telling the local press: "My dad played for Merthyr at Conference level in one of the best ever Martyrs’ teams. I’d love to help this club return to Conference football and it would be great if we could achieve that soon enough to allow me a season up there."

Westfields have announced that they have agreed deals with five of last season's squad. Jamie Cuss, Zac Sirrell, Craig Jones, James Febery, and Matt Reeve have all agreed terms with Sean Edwards for next season.
