Bristol Rovers' court case attempt to force Sainsburys to complete their stadium deal has begun. The opening day saw Sainsburys officials accused of seeking a 'silver bullet' to kill off the project. Senior figures were questioned about emails they sent about the project, amid claims that the supermarket 'did nothing' from January 2014 to overturn planning issues that they subsequently used in their attempt to scrap the deal as many major supermarkets moved from superstores to smaller local shops.

Stockport have named former Chester boss Neil Young as their new manager on a two year deal. The club have reported sales so far of 200.
