Lonsdale - Staff Are Being Paid Today

Hereford United chairman Andy Lonsdale has told a number of fans that the club's staff will be paid today.

In responses to emails to his new andy@herefordunited.co.uk address, Lonsdale says that the staff will be paid today with players and staff having been promised a 'double' month of wages after not being paid for August's work.

He also tells people that the Council have agreed that the amount owed to them is not correct, but will be paid in the next two weeks, despite the Council saying they have had no contact with the club at all just a few days ago.

Lonsdale also assures that HMRC will be paid, and it is only the constant additions to the winding-up petitions that is causing a delay to payment. The winding-up petition is due back in Court in three weeks time.

He adds that Philip Gambrill, who was banned from acting in a manner that could influence the club after his failure of the Owners and Directors Test, remains as the club's Accountant and that he is still struggling to get correct information from the club's former payroll firm - a claim already disputed by former staff and the firm itself.

In several responses given to fans by Lonsdale he is insistent that a new investor will be unveiled soon and that they are not leaving the club.

We will await news of payments hitting bank accounts today and report accordingly.
