Director John Edwards has told the Hereford Times that Hereford United's board are "100% certain that we have a product to sell".
Despite advertising season tickets for sale on July 10th, and approaching match board sponsors on August 6th, Edwards insists that the club have held off selling both products:
“Initially, we said that we would not sell season tickets or approach sponsors until we knew that we had a product to sell." he told the paper;
“After meeting with investors over the weekend, we are now 100% certain that we have a product to sell which is why we are selling season tickets and approaching sponsors.”
A large number of fans have taken to social media to express concern at the lack of detail in this morning's statement. Several have queried why a fan would buy a season ticket for a club with an outstanding winding up petition to be heard in two weeks.
