One Win In Five On Road For Pennock

Forest Green boss Adrian Pennock has won only one of five away games since becoming their boss in mid-November.

The former Stoke coach, who has ex-Bulls coach Dave Kevan as his assistant, has won four of five home matches, but has struggled for results on the road so far and the three goals they put past Aldershot at the New Lawn on Boxing Day were their first goals in four games.

One former Bull not making the trip is midfielder Paul Green, despite being brought back into the fold after Dave Hockaday's dismissal. He was sent off in the loss at Halifax and will serve the second game of a three match ban tomorrow.

James Norwood is the Gumpers' top scorer, netting his tenth of the season on Boxing Day, with the rest of the club's dozen strikers getting no more than six. Andy Mangan, reputedly on £3,000 a week, has started only three games since signing from Fleetwood Town in the summer - the last in October - and is yet to score for his new side.

Pennock made another forward, Scunthorpe loanee James Alabi, the club's 25th player used this season. The former Welling boss has already told fans he wants a busy January transfer window, with taller players on his radar, but admits he will be hampered by the contracts some of his unwanted players are on.
