Bulls Advent Calendar - No.6

Number six on the Bulls Advent Calendar is Colin Addison.

Robbed of his place in the Bulls' debut Football League match due to suspension, the player-boss retook the no.6 shirt for the Bulls' first League win - 3-0 over Reading, scoring the second goal.

It was his only League goal for the Bulls, with his dual role of player/manager and injuries restricting the performances of a player that played in the top flight for Nottm Forest, Arsenal, and Sheff Utd. With Forest, he netted 20 goals in the 1962/63 top flight campaign.

After leaving the Bulls, Addison moved onto the first of his international managerial adventures with Durban City of South Africa. He also took in Qatar, before it was fashionable in football circles, before the first of four Spanish appointments. He also managed in Kuwait before returning permanently to the UK in 1996.

Addison ended his managerial career at the age of 65, following it with a long running association as a pundit on BBC Radio, before returning to the Bulls to act as a non-executive Director in recent seasons.
