Bulls Advent Calendar - No.3

Number three on the Bulls Advent Calender is Michael Rose.

Rose was signed from Chester City, where many fans rated him as one of their worst ever players, as a 20 year old in 2002. Rose spent two seasons at Edgar Street, making 91 appearances, and scoring six times.

Rose, who split supporter opinion despite winning five England semi-pro caps during his stay, turned down a new deal with the Bulls to move to the Football League with Yeovil in 2004. His first season at Huish Park saw him named in the PFA Team of the Year for League Two.

Despite a disappointing second season with the Glovers he progressed his career further, spending five seasons as a regular in League One with the likes of Stockport, Swindon, and Norwich. He is currently, at the age of 31, a regular with League Two Rochdale.

In 2010, fans voted Rose into the Bulls' Team of the Decade in a poll run by the Hereford Times, with his dead ball ability responsible for many of the goals in the bountiful 2003/4 season.
