Bulls Advent Calendar - No.11

Number eleven on the Bulls Advent Calendar is Paul Parry.

Arguably the best talent to come out of the various Bulls' youth sides since Kevin Sheedy, Parry joined the Bulls from Bristol City's schoolboy ranks and made his debut as a 17 year old substitute in March 1998.

After having to wait until November for another chance, Parry took it and he was a first team regular within weeks. In total he played 202 games for the Bulls in league and cup, netting 34 goals.

It was his only hat-trick for the Bulls that pushed Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence into spending an initial £75,000 on Parry in early 2004, after a month where he had trialled with the Bluebirds for a week and had been watched several times. He debuted for Wales' senior squad just six weeks after the move.

He spent five years at Cardiff, and three at Preston, before rejoining former Edgar Street boss Graham Turner at Shrewsbury in 2012. Now 33, he also runs a property management company with his wife.
