Bradford have confirmed the inevitable and named Peter Jackson as their permanent manager on a 12 month deal. He was named on a shortlist of two three weeks ago only for the other name, Dagenham's John Still, to rule himself out publically a day later. The press report that Jackson will be working with a budget 'of around £1million' which is down £350,000 on the current season. Oxford are reported to be chasing veteran defender Michael Duberry, who is set to end an 18 month stay with St Johnstone in the SPL.
Northampton have announced the signing of Gillingham striker Adebayo Akinfenwa on a two year deal. Manager Gary Johnson has called it 'a sign of ambition' to bring the bulky striker back to Sixfields. Akinfenwa scored 39 goals in 95 games in his first stint with the Cobblers before moving to the Gills, scoring 11 in 46 games last term. Lincoln are to review their previously announced ticket prices in the wake of their relegation following poor season ticket sales.
Port Vale fans have questioned the validity of the recently announced £1.6million sponsorship deal after being unable to find the US based company at the centre of the deal. Fans say the company was not answering the phone numbers listed on it's website, and that the whole thing was registered to a small house. The club have responded accusing fans of abusing the company over the phone while posing as Radio Stoke reporters.

Crewe are claimed to be chasing Halifax striker Jamie Vardy, but are still waiting on answers from strike duo Clayton Donaldson and Byron Moore before making a move.
