Draw was Right Result said Rose

Hereford United's Richard Rose thought that a draw with Lincoln City was the right result this afternoon at Edgar Street.

"Defensively at times we made a few errors," Rose told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"But fortunately we were able to put the ball in the back of the net now hopefully we can go up there and get a result and get a good draw in the next round.

"No one really wanted to go for it, but when the game opened up there was some good football played. A draw was a fair result in the end.

Lincoln's second goal came from a misunderstanding between Adam Bartlett and Mike Townsend.

"I think both players thought they had it or the other one had it and the result for a goal for them.

"At the end of the day we kept plugging away and we got back in it. Unlucky towards the end not to get a winner. We created so many chances and looked good on the break.

"Hereford's second goal was coming. The way we were playing and passing it around we always thought we were going to get back in it.

"It took a good run from Fleets, the lad brought him down, it was a stone-wall penalty and Manny scored from the spot."
