Turner fully aware of financial tough times

In his latest interview with Jamie Griffiths, Hereford United manager Graham Turner has spoken about off pitch activities including the financial situation in the wider-world.

"There is a very difficult climate at the moment financially, both for companies and individuals, so we've lost a few but also gained a few.

"We're delighted that Cargill, Sun Valley's parent company, have sponsored our stand.

"Season tickets have held up extremely well - you would expect that having been promoted - but to counter that people, there's a lot of hardship ahead for families in particular.

"So I think it is going to be a tough time financially for a lot of companies, individual families.

"We hope we don't feel it too badly in terms of the size of the attendance.

"We hope that keeping season ticket and match day prices pegged at last years rates will encourage people to keep coming to our games."

Meanwhile Hereford United isn't the only club affected by estate agents Haart's, who had four advertising boards at Edgar Street, cashflow problems.

Haart had agreed to sponsor Cambridge United's home shirt for two seasons but recently have reportedly failed to keep up their payments on the deal so the Conference side are looking for another sponsor.
