News Round Up

Grimsby have moved to quash rumours that manager Alan Buckley is about to quit on health grounds. Buckley said: "Perhaps someone saw me in Boots a couple of weeks ago and have put two and two together. I was buying some suntan lotion by the way." Port Vale have secured their 5,000 season ticket holder target for the coming season, meaning Adults will pay just £8 per game across the season. They had 2,000 season ticket holders last season.

Southend have officially transfer listed rumoured Bulls target Matt Harrold, along with two other forwards. He is joined on the list by Richie Foran, who spent time at Darlington last season, and Charlie MacDonald. The former Ebbsfleet striker scored only five times after a move last summer. The Blues are after Coventry striker Kevin Kyle, who is available on a free transfer.

Scunthorpe have released former Lincoln boss John Schofield from his coaching role, with him expected to take up a management role elsewhere. Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan has enquired about ex-Bull Stuart Fleetwood. He claims Brentford and Exeter are also interested. Peterboro have signed Wycombe full back Russell Martin on a free. The right back joins on a three year deal after rejecting new terms at Adams Park.

Wycombe have named Peter Taylor as their new boss. Former England u-21 boss Taylor left Stevenage after failing to get them promoted.
