Turner speaks at Fans Forum

Graham Turner addressed around 100 Hereford United supporters at this evenings Fans Forum held at Legends.

The manager said that the two players from Watford, Toumani Diagouraga and Theo Robinson, who have been on trial at Edgar Street will sign loan deals on Wednesday. The agreement is until the end of the year.

"We will see where we go from here," said Turner

He also told the meeting that Bristol City goalkeeper Chris Weale will be at Edgar Street for a month on loan. However he can not play against Yeovil in the Carling Cup game next Tuesday week.

Another goalkeeper, Neil Cutler, has also been on trial but has injured his back.

(Cutler is 30 and was released by Rotherham, after making over 60 appearances, last May. Much-travelled he started his career at West Brom in 1993)

Amidst the questions was one which referred to the new stewarding arrangments. Turner was unaware of some of the problems and said he would look into matters.

No part of the stadium is to be set-aside for smoking said Turner. The rules were from the Football League.

Turner revealed that season ticket sales were 'not far short of 1,000'. He said that the club had discontinued the Early-Bird discount scheme as the cashflow at the club wasn't a problem. He added that he would consider a half-season ticket next year.

The manager was asked about two trialists Joey Hutchinson and Alistair John. He felt Hutchinson lacked a bit physically and had asked to see more of John but his agent had taken him elsewhere.

He was also questioned about the departure of Simon Travis and Alan Connell from Edgar Street. He pointed out that they were both offered contracts and had, in his opinion, plenty of time to have made their minds up before the deadline or to open further negotiations but hadn't. He therefore withdrew the offers citing the need to spend time finding replacements.
