News Round Up

Macclesfield have released six fringe players after a poor season, with 14 more being offered new deals to join the six currently on contract at Moss Rose. Darlington have cancelled a proposed Chinese summer tour and will instead host Premiership new boys Sunderland in a friendly.

Ex-Bull John Grant has been added to the England National Game squad for the coming tournament in Scotland. Grant joins fellow ex-Bull Scott Tynan in the squad, which has seen Anwar Uddin withdraw. Brentford have signed Grays midfielder Glenn Poole on a two year deal but they seem set to lose star striker Jo Kuffour after he rejected a new contract offer.

Bradford have axed four more out of contract players, and expect to name Stuart McCall as their new manager next week. Xavier Barrau, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, Richard Edghill and Steven Schumacher have all been released to bring the total of released players to ten. Chesterfield have given a first professional contract to Josh Law, son of ex-Bull Nicky.
