Norwich report Halliday switch

Norwich City has reported that Matthew Halliday has joined Hereford United but there appears to be some uncertainty how long the deal is for. The Norwich website suggests the deal is only for a week.

CITY scholar Matthew Halliday has joined Nationwide Conference play-off hopefuls Hereford United on work experience for a week.

The 19-year-old central defender will train all week with The Bulls, currently third in the Conference table, and is available for tonight's home game against Aldershot at Edgar Street.

Academy Manager Ricky Martin said the week with Hereford would be good experience for the third year scholar. He told First News: "A scout spotted Matthew playing in the Reserves' recent win over Watford. This week of work experience will hopefully prove useful in his on-going development as a player."

Yesterday the Official Hereford United website reported the signing of both Halliday and Robbie King of Colchester but the item didn't say how long the deals would last.

Hereford United FC are pleased to announce two new additions to the squad, signed on a Work Experience basis.
